The Art of Nature
Sunday, October 6, 2019
This special evening, devoted to art and the environment, is a time to discover local artists inspired by nature, mingle with friends and family and show your support of our mission of wildlife conservation through education, preservation, and rehabilitation.
Come meet our featured artist, enjoy organic wines, gourmet hors d’oeuvres, an amazing dessert bar and unique silent auction items, showcasing local companies, wildlife encounters, eco-artists and the amazing (and often surprising!) talents of our staff and trustees!
Admission is just $50/person and all proceeds support BNC's mission to promote the appreciation and understanding of wildlife conservation through preservation, education, and rehabilitation.
Call us today to make sure your name is on the invitation list. We hope to see you there!
Steve is a singer-songwriter
who grew up tramping the
woodlands not far from Brukner Nature Center. “I’ve spent most of my life driven by two passions: music and the natural world. The world around us is beautiful, magical, frightening and generally beyond our comprehension. It’s humbling to recognize we aren't the center; we are a small part of a much bigger thing. In
this ever-changing world, I have seen the importance of the values and experiences that parks and open space provide us. Every day, people come to parks to mourn losses, celebrate life, love and family, enjoy nature, exercise, and seek spiritual insight. We all need this. I think music is something we all need, too.”
Steve Madewell’s songs are shaped by his passion for the natural world, which guided his career in the park, conservation and outdoor recreation field. You can listen to his songs here: https://madewellmusic.com/songs, including One Thing at a Time, runner-up for the 2018 Song of the Year!
